Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics & Neurodiversity (Hybrid)

Location: Farnborough, Basingstoke, Winchester & Southampton
Role Type: Permanent
Hours: 2–5 days per week (Hybrid)
Salary: £40,000 – £52,000 pro rata

The Role

Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to join a private Occupational Therapy organisation, supporting children and young people aged 2–25 with a range of neurodiverse and developmental needs across Hampshire and surrounding areas.

Details

This is a flexible hybrid role combining clinic, community, and remote working. The post involves delivering specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children, young people, and young adults with neurodevelopmental presentations, supporting their independence, participation, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a paediatric and neurodiversity-focused OT caseload aged 2–25
  • Complete specialist occupational therapy assessments, including functional and sensory assessments
  • Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes
  • Support children and young people with self-care, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Provide recommendations for home, education, and community environments
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Produce high-quality clinical reports and therapy plans
  • Support service development and contribute to best practice approaches

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with paediatric and neurodiverse populations
  • Knowledge of autism, ADHD, sensory processing, and developmental needs
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
  • Strong assessment, report writing, and communication skills
  • Band 7 applicants should have experience providing clinical leadership or supervision
