Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Burton Upon Trent, with scope to expand in the future. The Occupational Therapist will assess individuals’ functional abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to help them manage daily activities and improve quality of life.

  • Conducting clinical assessments
  • Delivering rehabilitation programs
  • Advising on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
  • Documenting progress in line with clinical and regulatory standards

The role involves close collaboration with other healthcare professionals, clear communication with individuals and families, and participation in care planning and review meetings. The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to service improvement initiatives and promote best practices in occupational therapy within the team.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and functional rehabilitation skills.
  • Effective Communication skills for working with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including supporting children and young people with developmental, physical, or sensory needs.
  • Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and current professional registration (or eligibility for registration) with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Experience in delivering client-centered care, including goal setting and outcome measurement.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a varied caseload, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality requirements in healthcare environments
  • Sensory integration would be a useful addition, though not required.
