Priory Hospital North London has an opportunity for a Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team.
Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands.
It's one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Support delivery of person-centred care: Assist registered Occupational Therapists to implement individual treatment plans, helping patients build/rebuild daily living, social, and life skills to improve independence and wellbeing.
- Deliver therapeutic activities: Help prepare, run, and support both one-to-one and group sessions tailored to mental health, addiction, or rehabilitation needs, encouraging engagement and confidence.
- Observe, record, and report: Monitor patient progress, behaviour, and participation; maintain accurate clinical records; and promptly share concerns or changes with the OT and wider multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with assessments and set-up: Help prepare for functional assessments, organise therapy resources/equipment, and support patients to settle in and understand their care journey.
- Work as part of a collaborative team: Contribute to safe, compassionate care alongside nurses, therapists, and clinical staff, following Priory policies, safeguarding, and confidentiality standards.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role – OT Assistant Candidates must have GCSEs or O-Levels (grades A–C), a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
The following experience would be beneficial This is an entry-level role; however, prior experience working in a health and social care setting is beneficial
