EXCITING TIMES FOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY IN WALSALL
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistants to join our Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Service.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Occupational Therapists and Social Care colleagues to support adults across Walsall to maximise their independence, build on their strengths and achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant within the PEI Service, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists and other professionals to support individuals to remain as independent as possible in their own homes.
You will:
- Work directly with individuals to identify opportunities to maximise independence and wellbeing.
- Support people to achieve personal goals and outcomes through strengths-based interventions.
- Assess for and arrange low-level equipment where appropriate.
- Assist with the implementation and review of Occupational Therapy recommendations.
- Signpost and connect individuals to community resources and support networks.
- Monitor progress and contribute to reviews to ensure people receive the right support at the right time.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, carers and partner organisations.
