About the role
Salary: £29,167 - £30,934 per annum Contract type: Permanent, Full Time Working hours: 37 hours per week Location: Various, Kent, United Kingdom Job reference: REF/TP/785/14954 Closing date: 16 July, 2026
This exciting opportunity has arisen within our dedicated team of Support Workers, integral to delivering high-quality social care across Kent. You will play a vital role in assisting individuals, including those dealing with challenging circumstances or disabilities, to drive positive life changes and enhance overall well-being.
The areas we can assist within are as follows:
- Initial Service Delivery – Providing a personalised care plan, and adjusting as needs evolve, to empower individuals to reach their full potential.
- Reading List – Facilitating the provision of a curated selection of books that are relevant to a user’s interests and personal goals.
- Parliamentary Reps – Acting as a liaison between individuals and relevant professionals (e.g., MPs, local authorities) to advocate for and support access to necessary services and resources.
- Hobby Related Activities – Encouraging participation in hobbies that improve self-esteem, mental well-being, and social engagement.
- Mental Wellbeing Activities (CBT/Mental Health Disorder Support) – Offering structured guidance and encouragement in activities that promote confidence and stability in the face of mental health challenges.
- Tending Gardens & Maintenance – Organising and actively participating in activities related to gardening or general maintenance, fostering a sense of achievement and relaxation.
- Temporal Support Tasks / General Wellbeing – Supporting individuals in navigating appointments, tasks, and finding activities aligned with personal well-being goals.

Requirements
To thrive in this rewarding role, the following core requirements must be met:
- Empathy, compassion and patience – Essential for ensuring individuals feel supported and understood.
- Multi-Tasking & adaptability – Managing competing responsibilities like transport management, event coordination, and individual care plans.
- Resourcefulness & pro-activity – Source and book motor vehicles for users while also ensuring all additional transportation and social care needs are fulfilled.
- Conflict Resolution – Resolving minor disputes between clients and advocating for compliance with care plan suggestions when required.
- DBS check – Applicants are required to already possess a valid DBS check with no restrictions. Non-clearance applicants will be withdrawn from the process.
