Role: Ocean Import Operator

Location: Bradford

Pay: £28,000 – £37,000 (DOE)

Looking for a structured, high-ownership import role? An established Bradford forwarder is recruiting an experienced Ocean Import Operator to run deep-sea import operations.

Duties:

  • Complete lifecycle management of ocean import files (FCL & LCL).
  • Processing UK customs entries, duty/VAT, and compliance.
  • Coordinating with shipping lines, overseas agents, and hauliers.
  • Client account updates, delay management, and tracking.
  • File costing, billing, and margin tracking.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of ocean import forwarding experience in the UK.
  • Working knowledge of import documentation and customs processes.
  • Freight management software experience (CargoWise/MultiFreight preferred).
  • Sharp communication and organization skills.
