About Maximus

Be part of something great. Maximus is a global organisation specialising in health and employment services. In the UK, we employ around 5,000 people who deliver supportive services—including assessments, health programs, employability initiatives, and specialist support—that deeply impact individuals' lives.

About the Role: Nurse Functional Assessor

As one of our Registered Nurses or Nurse Practitioners, you’ll use your clinical expertise to assess how an individual’s disability or health condition affects their daily life. Your role involves complex cases, including physical and mental health conditions, as well as chronic pain disorders. With compassion and clinical precision, you’ll help customers move forward with confidence.

This isn’t just another role—it’s an opportunity to do good while embracing your potential. We provide a tailored training program, supervision, and mentorship to support your growth, ensuring you thrive from day one.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to evaluate daily living impacts.
  • Writing and producing detailed Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to determine benefits eligibility.
  • Constantly developing your clinical expertise, including regular feedback and supervision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
