Office Administrator
Office Administrator
Rate: £16 per hour Contract Length: 3 Months Location: Whitley – Full Time Office Based
HSBC is seeking a proactive and organised Office Administrator to support day-to-day administrative operations within a busy financial services environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about delivering high-quality support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operational processes, maintaining accurate records, supporting colleagues, and providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Printing account information and distributing documentation to customers or internal departments where required
- Investigating and resolving administrative issues, escalating where appropriate in line with company procedures
- Supporting the onboarding and training of new team members and assisting with cross-team collaboration
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships across the business
- Supporting team objectives and assisting colleagues to achieve operational goals
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all procedures and compliance standards are followed
- Taking ownership of customer interactions and aiming to resolve queries at the first point of contact
- Managing workload effectively and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines

Skills & Experience Required

- Previous experience within an administrative and/or customer service role, ideally within a financial services environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and structured approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support the development of others
