Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a motivated and organised Office Administrator to join their friendly team in Braintree. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied administrative role, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and wants to build a long-term career within a successful and growing business.


The Role

As the Office Administrator, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Working closely with Sales, Technical, and Operations teams, you'll ensure customers receive exceptional service.


Key Duties

  • Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Preparing quotations and sales documentation.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries.
  • Attending to customer emails professionally and promptly.
  • Providing administrative assistance to the Sales and Technical teams.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and filing systems.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding orders and deliveries.
  • Assisting with scheduling, documentation, and general office administration.
  • Liaising with the wider team on day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Maintaining a professional, organised, and welcoming office environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an office administration or customer service role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.

Desirable

  • Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
  • Experience using Sage or similar order processing software.
