Sulzer Administrator – Leeds
Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.
About the Role
At Sulzer, we’re known globally for engineering excellence—but here in Leeds, we’re especially proud of the people who make it happen. With a team of around 350 highly skilled colleagues, we specialise in advanced engineering, precision manufacturing and high-quality pump services, supporting critical sectors across the UK and worldwide.
We’re looking for a proactive, organised and people-focused Administrator who loves variety and isn’t afraid to take the initiative. As the first point of contact for visitors, customers and colleagues, you’ll be a friendly, confident presence who enjoys building rapport and interacting with people at all levels of the business.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who naturally spots what needs doing and gets on with it. You’ll take ownership of tasks, solve problems as they arise, and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Working as part of a supportive Administration team, you’ll collaborate closely with departments across the business, providing practical support, coordination and ideas to help teams work efficiently and effectively.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working as part of the administrative team to ensure smooth daily operations, providing flexible support to teams across the site when business needs require.
- Greeting visitors and managing all front-of-house activity with professionalism and warmth.
- Handling incoming calls, customer queries and complaints, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Overseeing meeting room management.
- Managing business systems (SAP, Concur, Egencia, Softworks) and producing reports.
- Coordinating wellbeing initiatives and key site communications.
- Administering clock cards, SAP set-ups, post handling, parking permits and visitor logistics.
- Supporting emergency procedures and promoting a safe working environment.
- Ensuring excellent customer experience at every touchpoint, representing the Administration team’s commitment to collaborative, business-wide service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
