KnoWho are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic, family-run communications and events business in Cheshire as they look to appoint an Office Manager to become the heartbeat of their team.

This isn't your typical Office Manager role. It's an opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys bringing people together, creating an incredible workplace culture and making sure everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. You'll be the person everyone turns to. The organiser. The problem solver. The one who notices the little things, gets stuff done without being asked, and takes genuine pride in creating an environment where people feel supported, valued and excited to come to work.

If you love people just as much as you love a well-organised spreadsheet, this could be the perfect role.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the office and ensuring it's a welcoming, organised and enjoyable place to work.
  • Becoming the go-to person for the team, always willing to help and finding solutions to whatever comes your way.
  • Helping build and nurture an outstanding company culture where people genuinely enjoy being part of the business.
  • Organising team socials, celebrations, away days and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Coordinating internal workshops, lunch & learns and company-wide meetings to keep the team connected and engaged.
  • Supporting HR administration, including onboarding new starters, maintaining employee records and assisting throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinating office suppliers, facilities and day-to-day operations.
  • Supporting the leadership team with administration and business projects.
  • Managing office budgets, ordering supplies and keeping everything running efficiently.
  • Continually looking for ways to improve processes, streamline operations and make life easier for everyone around you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
