Job Details

ChristianaCare's Primary Care at Aston practice is looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized Office Assistant I with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

The Medical Office Assistant I schedules appointments with attention to insurance, greets patients while collecting necessary information, and processes referrals while maintaining confidentiality.

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday: Day Shift

Duties / Responsibilities

  • The Medical Office Assistant I handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments.
  • They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff.
  • The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed.

Position Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Hourly Pay Range

$17.32 - $25.12

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
