Office Manager – Financial Planning Practice

Location: Solihull

IDEX Consulting is delighted to be working with a well-established, boutique financial planning firm based on the outskirts of Solihull, who are looking to appoint an experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business.

This is a key leadership position, responsible for managing the office, leading the support team, and ensuring the business operates efficiently. Working closely with the Directors, you'll oversee the operational side of the firm while supporting the continued growth of the business and maintaining an exceptional client experience.

The Role

This is a varied leadership role where you'll be responsible for the smooth running of the office and managing the day-to-day operations of the support function.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing the administration, PA and paraplanning teams
  • Managing workloads and ensuring service levels are maintained across the business
  • Working closely with the Directors to improve operational processes and drive efficiencies
  • Monitoring workflows and ensuring work is allocated effectively
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of support staff
  • Overseeing office operations and helping maintain an outstanding client experience
  • Working alongside advisers, paraplanners, compliance and administration to ensure a seamless client journey
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and overall business performance

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience within an IFA, Wealth Management or Financial Planning business
  • Experience managing or supervising operational or support teams
  • A solid understanding of financial planning products, including pensions and investments
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to make decisions and improve processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple workloads
  • Experience using Intelliflo Office (IO) or similar back-office systems would be highly advantageous
