Salaried Details
- Position: NHS Band 3 Administrative Supervisor
- Salary: £25,760 – £27,476 per annum
- Hours/Week: 15
- Contract: Permanent
- Location: Primarily based in the admin office at Queen Alexandra Hospital
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Administrative Supervisor (Band 3) to join our supportive admin team.
The successful candidate will:
- Supervise a team of nine administrative staff
- Ensure smooth, efficient service delivery
- Work closely with the Admin Manager, providing support and deputising in annual leave coverage or their absence
- Deliver essential administrative support to two critical services:
- Anticoagulant Nurse Specialists
- Antenatal and Neonatal Screening Service

This role is pivotal in maintaining these services’ effectiveness and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Working Pattern
- Core working hours: 09:00 – 17:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Flexibility: Will be considered in line with service needs to ensure optimal coverage
This position requires dedication to a structured but adaptable schedule within the NHS framework, ideal for someone self-motivated and committed to quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support to clinical and administrative teams
- Assist in patient care delivery, aligned with Trust policies
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Communicate effectively with:
- Patients and relatives
- Team members and colleagues
- Ensure the team maintains a safe and efficient working environment
- Undertake task delegation appropriate to the role
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational standard: Good GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Previous experience beneficial but not strictly required:
- Healthcare or customer service background (preferred)
- Soft skills:
- Strong communication & interpersonal abilities
- Teamwork mindset
- Organised and reliable approach
- Basic IT skills (to facilitate efficient reporting and organisational tasks)
