Officer Development Lead
Mitie has a great opportunity for a Officer Development Lead to join the Total Security Management Team.
The Officer Development Lead is responsible for the development and performance of a number of Retail Security Officers within the agreed geographical area. You will use highly effective coaching and performance management to deliver an industry-leading retail security team for our client.
Main Duties
- The officer development lead will effectively support and assist the Security Operations Manager in managing the performance of a designated region, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained officers to the complete satisfaction of those stores/clients.
- Responsible for the Mitie company induction and the comprehensive retail training programme for all newly appointed retail security officers.
- Delivery of all corporate training documentation and adhoc training to the required standard to all retail security officers within your identified area of responsibility.
- Delivery of ongoing support to all retail security officers to ensure learning is embedded and supports ongoing performance improvement.
- Analysis of risk data to assist in the delivery of the operational resource to risk model in line with the client's safer communities project.
- Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, and deputising for them in their absence – you will take full responsibility for the operational performance of the allocated business in relation to overall targets set, ensuring compliance with key SLA's/KPI's.

What We Are Looking For
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Confident and professional working approach and appearance.
- Strong customer service, client-focused attitude with the ability to build good working relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Resilient and tenacious with a ‘can do’ approach.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Literate, numerate and IT skills to medium level user.
- Frontline Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential, CCTV Licence would be beneficial.
- Expected to complete a minimum of level 3 apprenticeship in management development.
- A Full UK Driving licence is required.
