Job Type:
Permanent, full-time
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30am – 3:15pm
- Every third weekend worked as paid overtime, carrying out additional yard duties

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Offload Team Leader to join our team. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead the daily offloading operation, ensuring recyclable materials are unloaded safely, efficiently, and sorted correctly while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily unloading of company vehicles
- Ensure incoming materials are unloaded safely, efficiently, and sorted into the correct material streams
- Lead by example, promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation
- Monitor the quality of incoming recyclable materials, identifying contamination or unsuitable loads and reporting any issues
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe offloading area
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, equipment defects, and operational issues promptly, supporting investigations and corrective actions where required
- Work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure the smooth running of the offloading operation
- Support the Facility Manager with day-to-day operational tasks and any additional duties as required
- Assist the Facility Manager with continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and health & safety performance

About you:
Essential:
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, recycling, waste management, logistics, manufacturing, or similar operational environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
Desirable:
- Experience within the recycling or waste management industry
