- At least 15 years oilfield facilities experience
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
- Familiarity with Integrated Safe Systems of Work / Safety management systems
- Excellent Procedure writing, Presentation and Emergency Management skills
- Oil & Gas Process, Engineering Discipline or industry related degree level qualification Required
- Extensive Specific and related industry experience and understanding of best Industry practice
- Proven work record in oil and gas personnel management and understanding of relevant regulations and standards
- Team leadership and high safety standard
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for command and control of the onboard Emergency Response organization in the event of an emergency.
- Ensure strict implementation of the Permit to Work System (PTW). Ensures that all work by both permanent and contract personnel is carried out safely under the permit-to-work system. Ensure that regular Emergency Response drills and exercises are carried out in compliance with regulations.
- Ensures that platform maintenance team under the control of the maintenance supervisor maintain all process safety systems in good working order and expedite any repairs efficiently. Ensure that Platform maintenance and operations teams maintain platform facilities to achieve all field production goals.
- Oversee the safe controlled start-up and shutdown of the process facility for maintenance work and emergency evacuation as required. Provided co-ordination and control for the permit-to-work system. Provide direct support to the Supervisors during Emergency Response situations and Monthly Emergency drills and emergency or precautionary evacuation. Provide Guidance & supervision to Maintenance and Production Supervisors & Ensure Discipline supervisors carry out all work to expected company standards, expeditiously and safely, to best industry practice.
- Ensures the Maintenance Supervisor maintains the accuracy of the maintenance and PM paper and electronic CMMS files. In conjunction with onshore Superintendents, ensure that the numbers, skills and competency of the onboard crew is sufficient to meet installation and legislative requirements and is developed to the needs of the operation.
- Oversee the Coordination of the installation shutdown work lists produced by the maintenance and production supervisors and ensures that they parts are available for same.
- Ensure that the operations department controls the oil-in-water discharges in overboard water are within company and governmental limits with any excursions being quickly investigated and reported to the onshore Head of Operations and HSSE department. Ensure that all platform personnel maintain a high standard of ‘housekeeping’ thereby maximizing plant safety.
- Promote the understanding of Production Operations, & safety critical interfaces and dependencies; Process shutdown logic and its effects; Methods of consequences of isolation and depressurization; Consequences of process upset and process troubleshooting; Hazards associated with pipelines; Simultaneous operations and Consequences of loss of containment. Ensure that the Services Supervisor safely and efficiently coordinates boat movements and cargo. Ensure that the facility Doctor is available, competent and ready to provide the required level of support in any emergency situation.
- Oversee the catering department to ensure service standards are maintained in accordance with the services contract. Liaise with Drilling department, Contractors and Service or Vendor representatives to ensure best possible use of resources and compliance with all facility and companies' philosophies, policies and procedures and to protect the personnel, asset, and company reputation etc.
