# Procurement Manager – Offshore Wind (UK) – RWE Renewables UK


Role Overview

Functional area: Procurement Location: Swindon, Coventry, London, or any UK Offshore Site Office Employment type: Full-time, permanent (available as soon as possible)

As Procurement Manager in RWE’s Offshore Procurement team, you will drive the full range of procurement activities supporting UK operational offshore wind farms. This includes:

  • Managing direct procurement for services and spares in operational windfarms.
  • Providing procurement support for fleet contracts and major projects throughout project life cycles.
  • Optimising supply chain measures to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Lead end-to-end procurement support for UK offshore wind operations.
  • Align procurement strategies with sustainability and ESG objectives, integrating suppliers to drive impact.
  • Develop and manage category strategies in line with strategic business goals.
  • Establish and oversee long-term framework and maintenance contracts, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Cultivate productive supplier relationships to improve performance and reduce risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, finance, legal, and operations—to boost accountability and efficiency.

Market and Risk Optimisation

  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Provide commercial expertise across the contract lifecycle, including claims, changes, and disputes.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain, contractual, and commercial risks.
  • Analyse market trends to inform sourcing strategies and business decision-making.

Requirements & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or commercial roles.
  • Comfortable with travelling regularly to offshore or operational sites.
  • Extensive experience in tendering and negotiating complex contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness, balancing cost, risk, and long-term value creation.
  • Understanding of contract management principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Ability to document, develop, and execute procurement or category strategies.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in supplier performance management and strategic supplier relationship building.
  • Analytical mindset with sharp problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • High-level communication and negotiation skills (both written and verbal).
