THE OPPORTUNITY – OFFSHORE SCHEDULER
Responsible for coordinating and optimising offshore maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of work. The role ensures integration of preventive and corrective maintenance within resource and operational constraints, supporting high asset availability and adherence to Work Management processes.
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Duration: 2-year contract
Contract Type: PAYE
Day Rate: TBC

Spirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers. 4 days must be worked in the office with compulsory days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The fourth day worked in-office (either Monday or Friday) is of the worker’s choosing but should be in keeping with what is most efficient and effective for their team. The office is open 5 days a week for full-time, in-office working if this is the contractor’s preference.

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
In role, you will be required to:
- Develop and maintain short-term and frozen maintenance schedules aligned with offshore priorities.
- Prioritise and sequence work based on safety, production impact, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Team Leads, Technicians, and Operations and Vendors to ensure schedule alignment and execution readiness.
- Ensure all activities comply with Work Management processes and governance.
- Monitor and support reduction in backlog and ensure timely progression of corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Facilitate daily and weekly scheduling meetings offshore.
- Optimise work execution by grouping tasks and aligning logistics, materials, and personnel.
- Provide feedback on schedule performance and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Promote Incident Free Workplace culture and compliance with HSE standards
Integrated and achievable offshore maintenance schedules (daily/weekly/frozen).
Improved schedule compliance and execution efficiency.
Effective coordination between maintenance and operations teams.
Accurate communication of schedules to all stakeholders.
Contribution to continuous improvement in Work Management and SAP utilisation.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- A proven understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles
- Experience with SAP and scheduling tools (e.g. Prometheus, Primavera desirable)
- Knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance practices
- Ability to prioritise work based on risk, criticality, and operational impact
- Understanding of offshore HSE requirements and compliance standards
- Strong coordination and communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams
- HNC/HND in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation preferred)
- Relevant offshore certification (e.g. BOSIET, MIST)
- Experience in offshore maintenance or operations environment preferred
