Join Vestas: Service Technician for Global Offshore Renewable Energy

Are you passionate about power generation and delivering renewable energy? Do you have experience servicing and maintaining mechanical or electrical systems?

Join Vestas on the Moray East Green Shift at our North East Scotland offshore wind farm site and be part of a journey toward a greener future. Reporting to the Service Operations Vessel (SOV) Shift Manager, you’ll work in a focused support team critical to keeping windfarms operational.


Role: Service Technician – Electrical/Mechanical Systems

Location: North East Scotland Industry: Global Offshore Wind Work Schedule: 2 weeks On / 2 weeks Off rota


Key Responsibilities

As a Service Technician, you will:

  • Ensure strict compliance with Vestas’ Health & Safety (HSE), Quality, and Operational procedures
  • Perform maintenance and servicing of electrical and mechanical offshore wind systems
  • Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of systems for minimised downtime
  • Utilise Vestas ERP system (SAP) for registration of work orders, materials, and consumables
  • Collaborate on quality case reporting and learning opportunities to continuously improve operations
  • Maintain daily monitoring of fault diagnoses both on-site and remotely via online systems

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven professional experience in electrical or mechanical systems within the offshore wind sector
  • Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, C&G technical assessment, NVQ Level 4, HNC, HND, or Degree
  • Full valid driver’s license (essential)
