Job Description Summary
GE Vernova is seeking Experienced Electrical Technicians to support commissioning and service activities on the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm. In this role, you will perform and guide safe commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance support, and technical handover activities across project and service phases. You will apply strong electrical and wind turbine system knowledge to support safe execution, technical issue resolution, and reliable turbine operation.
The ideal candidate brings a safety-first mindset, strong troubleshooting capability, effective communication skills, and the ability to guide technicians in field-based environments. Candidates will be considered for roles on both the Commissioning and Services teams supporting Dogger Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and lead commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance support, and technical handover activities on wind turbines across project and service scopes
- Execute field activities in compliance with established safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Support turbine energization, functional verification, fault diagnosis, and return-to-service activities
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues using a structured, systematic approach
- Perform maintenance, retrofit, and inspection activities on wind turbine electrical systems and related equipment
- Apply technical knowledge of instrumentation, control, automation, and T&I (MSR) during field execution
- Follow and reinforce safety processes, including Permit to Work requirements and point-of-work risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with wind turbine safety regulations and electrical safe operation standards
- Provide technical guidance to other technicians and support safe, effective team execution in the field
- Partner with site teams and technical stakeholders to support issue resolution and project delivery
- Complete required technical and operational documentation accurately and on time

Required Qualifications
- Relevant electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds in the UK, Anlagen Elektroniker in Germany, or equivalent in accordance with EN 50110
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical apprenticeship
- Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, retrofit, commissioning, or service activities in wind, industrial, or related field environments
- Knowledge of wind turbine system safety regulations
- Working knowledge of BS 7671 18th Edition, The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and EN 50110 Safe Operation and Maintenance of Electrical Installations
- Experience working with power distribution systems up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC
- Experience working with power distribution boards rated over 63A
- Ability to provide technical leadership and support safe field execution
