A Snapshot of Your Day

You’ll be part of a dedicated service team working on East Anglia ONE, a project with 102 Siemens Gamesa 7MW wind turbines powering around 700,000 UK homes.

As an East Anglia ONE Technician you will be part of a permanently employed dedicated service team. You will be able to lead a team and carry out all the duties associated with the fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) wind turbine generators. You will deliver excellent service and meantime between visits (MTBV) while ensuring compliance with internal processes and procedures, UK Legislation, EHS and Quality.

The role will be based from the East Anglia ONE Site and you will transfer by CTV daily to the windfarm. The shift pattern will be 9/5 in the summer months (March-October) & 7/7 in the winter months (November-February).

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Being a part of troubleshooting and service teams to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to meet EHS, quality, time, and cost requirements.
  • Promote active safety leadership and the #Homesafe EHS culture, ensuring proper reporting of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare and execute work packages/tasks efficiently.
  • Mentor and develop technician competency within your team, providing direct supervision and support on-site.
  • Liaise with field teams, technical functions, planners, and senior technicians to ensure smooth progress of work packages.
  • Assist in creating daily and weekly plans for site teams and maintain efficient timescales for service delivery.
  • Report service schedule progress accurately into IT systems and ensure proper use of ATS and other workflow tools.

What You Bring

  • Experience as a technician (preferably in the wind industry), or strong aptitude to develop into a Maintenance and Troubleshoot Technician.
  • Ability to work under pressure and lead a team effectively.
  • Practical experience with MS Office; familiarity with SAP, ATS, and remote diagnostic tools is a plus.
  • Electrical qualifications preferred or significant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and commitment to EHS standards.
  • You must hold a valid UK driver’s license and a valid UK Passport (VISA SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS ROLE).
  • You must live within a 45-minute drive from Lowestoft.
  • You must be prepared to work shifts (9 on/ 5 off in summer and 7 on/7 off in winter) and transfer to offshore turbine locations by boat.
