OHL Performance Analyst
OHL Performance Analyst – Overhead Lines - Strategic Planning
About the Role
We are looking for a OHL Performance Analyst to join our Overhead Lines - Strategic Planning team.
The role delivers high-quality performance analysis and reporting to support Overhead Lines Asset Operations, enabling evidence-based decision-making and driving operational improvements. Key responsibilities include sourcing, validating, and managing operational datasets; defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs); and developing, maintaining, and supporting Power BI dashboards and performance reporting packs.
This position involves applying analytical techniques to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into actionable insights for key stakeholders. Effective communication is critical, ensuring complex data is communicated clearly and recommendations are translated into strategic actions, fostering continuous improvement and robust performance management.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support performance reporting and decision-making.
- Collaborate on the development and automation of performance packs at different organisational levels.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, drivers, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to identify reporting needs, ensuring data quality, consistency, and relevance.
- Prepare analytical insights and present findings to senior stakeholders on behalf of the OHL Performance Lead.
- Ensure reporting aligns with agreed performance frameworks, definitions, and systems of record.
- Contribute to establishing a centralised OHL Performance Centre, including standardising reporting, definitions, and governance frameworks.

Requirements
Core Skills & Experience
- A degree in statistics or relevant equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a performance analyst role.
- Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Experience working with data, performance measures, and KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to build and present organisational datasets using Power BI, translating data into insights and actionable outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interrogate data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Excellent technical IT skills, with proven proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Experience managing large-scale datasets to support reporting and analysis.
- Comfortable working with complex data and developing evidence-based solutions.
Soft Skills
- Clear and persuasive communication, with the ability to present insights effectively and gain stakeholder buy-in for change.
- Problem-solving mindset and a natural curiosity for exploring data-driven opportunities.
- Ability to collaborate across teams to understand performance needs and define KPIs.

- Salary of £45,495, dependent on experience.
