Oil Products Analyst
We are seeking an Oil Products Analyst to join a global energy trading organisation in London. The role involves providing detailed analysis and forecasts across global oil markets, with a focus on refining economics, supply-demand balances, and market trends, particularly within Light Ends (LPG, Naphtha, Gasoline). You will apply a strong understanding of refining operations alongside geopolitical, regulatory, and macroeconomic drivers to support decision-making across trading, upstream, and strategic functions.
The role provides broad exposure to the full commodity trading lifecycle through close interaction with trading, shipping, operations, scheduling, credit, middle office, back office, legal, finance, and contracts teams. Flexibility is required to support cross-functional collaboration and provide operational cover when needed, including occasional out-of-hours work depending on business requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
