Team Manager - Older Persons Independent Living Service
1 x Temporary Full Time Post – 37 hours per week (Maternity Cover until May 2027)
Location
Solpro and Sheltered Housing Schemes across the City of Sheffield within the Older Persons Independent Living Service.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Older Person’s Independent Living Service for recruitment of a temporary full-time Team Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will have responsibility for a team of staff including Neighbourhood Officers and Caretakers and will be part of a wider Management Team supporting service delivery for OPIL schemes across a geographical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Combination of office and site-based working across the city
- Requirement to work out of hours on an on-call rota basis, including nights and weekends
- Management and assistance in delivering an innovative, high-quality, continually improving, and customer-focused service across all teams
- Delivery of Housing Management and Support, Caretaking service, Young at Heart project, Business support, and Tenancy Management
About You
We are looking for a motivated individual who is customer-focused, an excellent communicator, and is passionate about working with older and vulnerable people and improving services. You will have experience of working in partnership, managing change, and have knowledge of the challenges facing the housing sector.

Salary
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
