Talent Manager (TM) – Europe ACG Talent Management

Role Purpose

The Talent Manager (TM) supports the Europe ACG Talent Management Team in delivering high-quality staffing, consultant development, performance management, and related people processes across one or more Practices—or large sub-teams.

Depending on business needs, this role may:

  • Support a defined Practice directly
  • Work closely alongside a Talent Manager (TM) Lead in larger, more complex Practices

Working alongside fellow Talent Managers, Practice stakeholders, consultants, and cross-functional teams, the TM acts as a trusted Talent Management partner, balancing business demands with consultant growth expectations to deliver strong staffing and talent outcomes through sound judgment, collaboration, and proactive execution.

  • Learning & Development
  • Finance

Key Contributions to Team Success

✅ Project Staffing Support

  • Balance client delivery needs, consultant capabilities, development goals, and availability.
  • Provide early identification of capacity, performance, or engagement issues for TM Lead and stakeholders.

✅ One Team Collaboration

  • Strengthen cross-functional partnerships through transparency, shared insights, and joint problem-solving.

✅ TM Process Excellence

  • Maintain reliable TA data, prepare materials for staffing/talent meetings, and contribute to process improvements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

🔹 Talent & Practice Support

  • Develop a comprehensive view of consultants, project pipeline, and business priorities.
  • Ensure trusted relationships, timely follow-ups, and visibility into emerging talent themes.

🔹 Staffing & Capacity Management

  • Collaborate with the TM Team, Partners, and project leaders to match staffing requirements with consultant capabilities.
  • Achieve:
    • Effective staffing outcomes
    • Healthy utilization goals
    • Minimal escalations
    • Accurate availability tracking

🔹 Development & Performance Management

  • Assess consultant skills, growth goals, and development needs.
  • Support:
    • Follow-ups on feedback discussions
    • Career Review preparations
    • Performance-related conversations
    • Early identification of well-being or performance concerns with appropriate escalation.

🔹 Data & Reporting

  • Analyze Utilization, Staffing, Availability, and OW Balance reports.
  • Share actionable insights with TM Team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and joint problem-solving with peers/ functions.

🔹 Operations & Initiatives

  • Maintain real-time data integrity (systems like Certinia).
  • Prepare materials for staffing/talent meetings.
  • Proactively support TM agenda with high attention to detail.

Skills & Experience

Typical Profile:

  • 3–5 years experience in Talent Management, Staffing, HR, Recruiting, Consulting Operations, or fast-paced client services (Consulting experience is a plus).
  • Proven ability to build credibility across:
    • Consultants
    • Project Leaders
    • Partners
    • Cross-functional colleagues (HR, Finance, IT, etc.)
  • Self-driven, resilient, and proactive with:
    • Strong leadership ownership
    • Attention to detail
    • Flexibility to reprioritize

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Data literacy (Excel, HR/TA systems like Certinia)
  • AI & automation tools to simplify processes, improve reporting
  • PowerPoint for high-quality materials

Collaborative Mindset:
