Adamas Wind, part of the Galetech Group, is a trusted partner in optimising wind turbine performance. We specialise in delivering Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Asset Management services across the renewable energy sector, managing a growing portfolio of wind farm sites across the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are now recruiting an experienced O&M Manager to take ownership of operational delivery across our North of England region.
This is a home-based role offering flexibility for candidates located anywhere across the North of England, provided they are within a reasonable commuting distance of both the North East and North West regions when required.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the O&M Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient, and commercially effective delivery of O&M services across a portfolio of operational wind farms.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will manage operational teams and Lead Technicians across multiple sites, drive performance standards, and act as the primary point of contact for customers across your region. You will work closely with Planning, Operations Support, HSE, and other business functions to ensure compliant and effective service delivery.
Location
This is a home-based position covering the North of England.
Candidates can be based anywhere across the North of England, including the North East, North West, or surrounding areas, provided they are able to travel regularly across the operational region.

Regular travel to wind farm sites and occasional overnight stays will be required as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and promote a strong safety culture across the region Conduct operational and SHEQ audits across managed sites and drive timely closure of actions Ensure compliance with company procedures, WTSR, and client contractual requirements Manage turbine availability, regional performance, and service delivery targets Ensure accurate and timely recording of work orders, job notes, parts, and documentation within X5 Oversee delivery of planned and corrective maintenance activities across the region Manage, support, and develop Lead Technicians and operational teams Coordinate labour, contractor support, and operational resources as required Drive accountability, performance standards, and professional behaviours across all teams Identify training, recruitment, and development needs within the region Lead customer-facing meetings and provide operational updates and performance reporting Own operational budget control, stock governance, and cost management Promote continuous improvement across safety, performance, and service delivery
Essential Requirements
Proven managerial experience within the wind turbine industry Strong understanding of wind turbine operations and maintenance Good understanding of WTSR and safety-critical operational environments Experience managing operational teams across multiple sites Experience with operational management systems - familiarity with CMMS/work order platforms essential Experience managing customer relationships and operational performance Strong planning, scheduling, and organisational skills Ability to manage on-call and out-of-hours operational requirements Excellent communication and leadership skills Full UK driving licence

Desirable
Engineering qualification or time-served engineering background Experience across mixed OEM platforms including Vestas and Nordex HV or Authorised Person experience Experience managing major corrective works or component replacements Previous experience in multi-site O&M operations
