We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced O&M & Fit SEG Manager to oversee and manage the operations, maintenance, and ongoing performance of solar power systems for our commercial clients.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in solar energy systems, a background in O&M services, and experience with SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our solar systems, improving efficiency, and managing compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
O&M Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar energy systems across various commercial sites.
- Ensure optimal performance of solar installations by coordinating routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs.
- Supervise and lead a team of O&M technicians and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and monitoring strategies.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities for performance improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of O&M activities and asset management data.
Fit SEG Management
- Oversee the implementation of Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) for all relevant commercial solar installations.
- Coordinate with energy suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure SEG compliance and accurate data reporting.
- Work closely with the billing and finance departments to ensure timely payments and correct export monitoring.
- Manage the connection and disconnection processes for SEG agreements.
- Analyze SEG data and offer insights for optimizing energy export strategies.
- Ensure the company’s solar clients are maximizing their SEG benefits.
Client Relations
- Act as the main point of contact for commercial clients regarding O&M and SEG-related issues.
- Provide clients with regular reports on system performance and energy export statistics.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any technical or service issues related to O&M or SEG.
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with commercial clients to encourage renewals and long-term partnerships.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, SEG tariffs, and any changes in legislation that affect O&M practices and SEG eligibility.
- Conduct audits and assessments of operational performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Implement and uphold best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.

Team Management & Development
- Manage and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and other personnel involved in O&M activities.
- Coordinate training and development opportunities for staff to ensure high standards in operational practices and technical skills.
- Manage team performance, set clear objectives, and drive continuous improvement.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed performance and maintenance reports for management and clients.
- Keep accurate records of service requests, repairs, and operational data.
- Ensure all documentation is in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A master’s degree or additional certifications in solar energy is a plus.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the operations and maintenance (O&M) of solar energy systems, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience with SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) regulations and energy export systems.
- Experience in managing teams of technicians, subcontractors, and other relevant personnel.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage, and other energy generation and storage technologies.
- Familiarity with O&M software, monitoring systems, and solar asset management platforms.
- Experience with SCADA systems, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Regulatory Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, including SEG requirements, safety standards, and environmental considerations.
- Awareness of grid connection processes and compliance with utility requirements.
Communication & Leadership Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Experience in client management and delivering customer-focused services.
Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve operational and technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Desirable
- Certification in solar energy technologies (e.g., NABCEP).
- Project management experience in renewable energy or similar industries.
- Ability to work with business intelligence tools for data analysis and optimization of energy export.
