Job Description
We are recruiting Plant Attendants for 1 year Fixed Term contracts, to join our team on the Westfield plant in Fife. Immediate starts are available.
Job Responsibilities
Co-ordinating waste fuel deliveries, fuel handling, incoming consumables, site housekeeping, weighbridge operations, site security, driver induction and issuing site access cards. During weighbridge duties you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and contractors that arrive on site, so will be required to be professional at all times.

This role reports directly to the STL or where provisioned, the Operations Manager.
Working in a small team, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the plant. Daily duties and responsibilities will include;
Plant Attendant:
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- The use of the Front-Loading Shovel (FLS), Telehandler, Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPS) and Forklift Truck (FLT) as required
- Effectively react to support Operations and Maintenance during planned and unplanned (i.e. emergency) repairs, blockages and changes in the plant central systems ensuring jobs are completed safely
- Working at height and in confined spaces
- Reporting accidents, near misses, and suggesting improvements to Plant Operating Instructions and Risk Assessments
- Monitoring all areas of the plant during plant inspections and report back any defects, issues and hazards on site
Weighbridge:
- Ensures the weighbridge operates accurately and efficiently
- Ensures a high level of professionalism at all times and when dealing with drivers, visitors and contractors
- Ensures all information regarding weights and type of waste are accurately recorded in the document management system
- Inducts all drivers with Plant HSE Rules

Qualifications
- O Level equivalent English and Maths and experience in a similar role
- Experience/qualifications in the use of Fork Lift Truck (FLT)
- Experience/qualification in operating mobile plant
- Experience of Front-Loading Shovel (FLS) vehicle also advantageous
- Familiar with HSE standards, procedures, and requirements and control plant operations in a safe and efficient manner
- Language: Fluent English
- Excellent communication skills
