Omnichannel Consultant – Retail & Consumer
Wave Search is exclusively partnered with a globally recognised consulting and technology organisation that is expanding its Retail Consulting practice. Following continued investment and growth, the business is looking to appoint an Omnichannel Consultant to help leading UK and international retailers solve complex challenges across customer experience, connected commerce, AI, fulfilment and store transformation.
This is not a role where you simply develop a strategy and hand it over. They are looking for a commercially minded consultant who can work across the entire transformation journey, from shaping board-level strategy and operating models through to implementation and measurable business outcomes.
The Opportunity
You will join a growing omnichannel consulting capability, working with some of the best-known retail brands across the UK, Europe and beyond.
The role offers genuine variety. One engagement may involve shaping an omnichannel strategy or target operating model, while the next could focus on improving fulfilment performance, transforming the in-store experience or exploring how AI and agentic commerce can enhance the customer journey.
Working within senior-led consulting teams, you will combine strategic thinking with the global technology, engineering and AI capabilities of a major international organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
