On Board Host
On-Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at Manchester Station
Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour plus commission Hours: Full-time (39 hours, rotational shifts)
Working Arrangements
- Rotational shifts between 4:30am – 11:30pm
- Flexible scheduling across weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and public holidays
Eligibility & Commitment
- Age requirement: Must be 18+ for certain shifts/tasks
- Agreement to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with variety in shifts/hours
About the Role
We’re a premier provider of catering and onboard services to the British Rail Industry, operating across 40+ service centres nationwide with over 1,000 UK-based employees—committed to delivering outstanding, first-class service.
Ideal for candidates with:
- 2+ years’ experience in customer-facing roles (Retail, Leisure, or Hospitality);
- Fully trained by Rail Gourmet (no prior experience in onboard roles required).
Key Responsibilities
As an On-Board Host, you will:
- Provide "at-seat trolley service" with exceptional customer service
- Manage stock, process transactions to meet sales targets
- Ensure accurate reporting (stock + income) and hygiene/safety compliance
- Support management initiatives and represent the brand professionally
