On Board Host
On-Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at York Station
Pay Rate & Hours
- Salary: £13.65 per hour + commission
- Hours: Full-Time (37) – 39 hours per week
- Shifts: Rotational shifts between 6am and 8pm, including some weekends
Eligibility & Adaptability Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or over (age restrictions apply for certain shifts/responsibilities).
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-facing environment with varying schedules.

Ideal candidate: At least 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in Retail, Leisure or Hospitality. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities (As an On-Board Host)
- Provide "at-seat trolley service" on TPE trains, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Manage stock, record transactions accurately, and upsell products to meet sales targets.
- Assist passengers, troubleshoot queries, and promote onboard offerings independently.
- Comply with hygiene, safety and operational standards.
- Support management initiatives and contribute to a positive onboarding experience.
