On-Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at York Station
Role Summary: A Part-Time (16 hours) On-Board Host role at TransPennine Express (TPE). Salary: £13.65 per hour + commission.
Role Details
- Hours: 16 (part-time)
- Shifts: Rotational (6am – 8pm, including weekends)
- Minimum age: Must be 18+ (due to certain shift and task requirements)
- Location: York Station

Ideal Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role within the Retail, Leisure, or Hospitality industry (full training provided).
About the Role
As an On-Board Host, you’ll:
- Provide "at seat trolley service" on TPE trains, offering exceptional customer service while managing stock and handling transactions.
- Travel onboard assigned trains to assist passengers, hit sales targets, and reach contractual goals independently.
- Maintain accurate records for stock and financial transactions, uphold strict hygiene and safety standards, and support management initiatives.
