Join Amey—a global infrastructure partner supporting His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service—and play a vital role in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient prison facilities across England and Wales.

  • Engage in fault-finding and problem-solving for electrical systems in a high-security environment.
  • Conduct like-for-like replacements and minor electrical works in line with BS7671 standards, ensuring all inspections and tests are recorded and compliant.
  • Maintain electrical systems to safeguard staff and residents, supporting broader prison security objectives.
  • Assist the Responsible and Authorised Person as required.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety policies, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work across all tasks.
  • Support escort duties and other operational requirements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proficiency in Health & Safety requirements, especially in high-risk environments.
  • Strong planned preventative maintenance knowledge and operational reliability.
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and people skills to operate under pressure.
  • Experience working independently, handling initiatives and working at height.
  • Practical and theoretical understanding of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Basic IT skills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
