On-Site Plumber (HMP Kirkham, Preston) – Permanent Role

Responsibilities

As an On-Site Plumber, your duties will include:

  • Planned and reactive plumbing maintenance.
  • Repairs to mains water supply systems.
  • Fault finding, diagnostic work, and equipment repairs.
  • Conducting water sampling, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • General maintenance and making-good works to keep systems running efficiently.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating (minimum requirement).
  • Commercial plumbing experience (essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Basic Legionella (L8) knowledge (desirable but not mandatory).

Additionally:

  • Successful prison security clearance level and standard DBS check (required, supported by Amey).
