About the Role

Position

Plumber

Hours & Work Pattern

  • Monday – Friday: 07:45 – 16:45
  • Weekend rota (1 in 3): 07:45 – 15:15
  • On-call rota included

The Role

As On-Site Plumber, you’ll carry out the following core responsibilities:

  • Plumbing maintenance (both reactive and planned)
  • Fault finding and repairs for mains water systems
  • Conducting inspections, water sampling, and compliance work
  • Identifying and repairing faults in equipment and fixtures
  • Supporting the wider Facilities Management (FM) team as required

Requirements

Essential

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (mandatory)
  • Experience in maintenance (preferably commercial or similar industries)
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Legionella awareness training

Security & DBS Clearance

  • Prison Security Clearance and Standard DBS Check required
  • Full support provided by Amey for clearance processes

  • Strong teamworker with problem-solving skills
