On-Site Plumber

Salary: £30,866 – £36,135 + 15% weekend allowance
Hours: 39 hours per week | Type: Permanent
Looking for a steady, long-term plumbing role with regular hours, good pay and no travelling between sites? This is a permanent on-site plumber role at HMP Full Sutton, working as part of a close-knit facilities team.
The Role
You’ll be carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the prison site, including:
- General plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Mains water supply repairs
- Fault finding and fixing issues first time
- Inspections, water sampling and basic risk assessments
- Identifying and replacing life-expired equipment
This is a hands-on trade role, not desk-based, and you’ll have the time and support to do the job properly.
Working Hours
- Hours: 39 hours per week
- Rota:
- 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday
- 08:00 – 16:00 Friday to Sunday
- Weekends: 1 in 3 weekends, paid with an additional 15% allowance

- Qualification: NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating
- Experience: Experience in plumbing maintenance (commercial environment preferred)
- License: Full UK driving licence
- Training: Legionella awareness (desirable, not essential)
- Skills: Able to work safely and follow procedures in a secure environment
