Outbound Onboarding Manager
The Outbound Onboarding Manager will lead a high-performing outbound onboarding team, responsible for proactively converting new leads into active contractors. This role has a strong commercial focus, with particular emphasis on Professional sector performance and increasing Workwell Plus uptake.
The role is accountable for driving outbound activity, improving conversion rates, and delivering revenue outcomes, while embedding a strong sales culture, clear performance standards, and a continuous improvement mindset across the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and drive outbound lead conversion performance, with a particular focus on the Professional sector.
- Maximise Workwell Plus uptake through effective positioning, value-led selling and consistent messaging.
- Own and improve conversion metrics across the onboarding funnel, including lead-to-registration and registration-to-active conversion.
- Drive high volumes of outbound activity, ensuring consistent follow-up, pipeline momentum and speed to first contact.
- Implement and maintain structured lead management and follow-up cadences, ensuring accurate CRM usage and pipeline tracking.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of outbound onboarding executives, setting clear daily, weekly and monthly performance expectations.
- Provide regular coaching and feedback on sales techniques, objection handling and closing skills.
- Proactively manage underperformance and build a high-energy, results-driven team culture.
- Develop and refine call frameworks, scripts and sales messaging to ensure consistency and quality of customer conversations.
- Track, analyse and report on key performance indicators, including activity levels, conversion rates and Workwell Plus penetration.
- Use performance data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities, providing insight and updates to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement across lead handling, follow-up strategies and conversion performance.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success, inbound onboarding, Marketing, Payroll and Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
- Provide feedback to Marketing and other teams on lead quality and support testing and optimisation of new approaches.

- Has proven experience in outbound sales, lead conversion or telesales environments.
- Has a strong track record of delivering against conversion or revenue targets.
- Has experience managing, coaching or developing a performance-driven team.
- Is highly commercial, results-focused and motivated by achieving outcomes.
- Is confident using data and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive improvement.
- Communicates clearly and effectively, with strong influencing skills.
- Brings energy, resilience and accountability to a target-driven environment.
- Enjoys building high-performing teams and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
