About the Role
London Vet Specialists originated as a boutique small animal referral centre in Belsize Park, North London and in May 2024, relocated to a new state-of-the-art site in Hammersmith, West London. The hospital boasts an incredible location on the banks of the river Thames, nestled within the bustling and thriving Hammersmith & Fulham neighbourhood. We have a complete compliment of specialist-led services, including Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Radiology and Soft Tissue Surgery, where we are looking for an oncology specialist to join our expanding team.
Linnaeus is a forward-thinking partnership of highly respected primary care and referral veterinary practices across the UK and Ireland, comprising some of the best clinicians in the profession. Linnaeus invest in quality practices who put patient care at the heart of everything they do. Together we provide a growing community of like-minded veterinary professionals who are passionate about what they do.
We have invested significantly in equipment and our new centre has a brand new 1.5T Philips BlueSeal MRI scanner (this is a low-helium system so also fits our pledge to sustainability and the planet), Siemens 64-slice CT scanner, Samsung RS-85 ultrasound, C-arm fluoroscopy, and IGEA CliniVet electrochemotherapy systems to name just a few!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
