One Stop - Customer Service Assistant

Customer Service Assistant – One Stop (Tesco subsidiary)

About the Role

We’re seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our fast-paced, vibrant team at One Stop, a leading neighbourhood store under the Tesco Group. As a key member, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service, support store operations, and uphold our commitment to creating a welcoming environment for everyone.

In this dynamic role, you’ll contribute to the daily running of our store by:

  • Providing outstanding customer experience, from tills to stock replenishment
  • Supporting stock control, online services, vending machines, and seasonal initiatives
  • Ensuring a safe, organised, and profitable operation
  • Embracing our core values in everything you do

Our stores are places where people thrive—not just as shoppers, but as colleagues. You’ll play a crucial role in crafting that experience, whether through coaching, feedback, or championing community events.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Customer-Centric Excellence

    • Delivering passionate, natural service tailored to each customer’s needs.
    • Encouraging customers to participate in the "Have Your Say" survey to gather valuable feedback.
  • Store Operations & Versatility

    • Supporting across all store functions, including:
      • Processing sales and transactions
      • Restocking shelves efficiently
      • Managing customer enquiries at the front desk and tills
      • Operating self-service checkouts and addressing technical issues with calm professionalism.
    • Ensuring vending machine stocking, stock routines, and area maintenance align with customer needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
