Online Assistant – Store Team Role

About the Role

Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality and great service.

As one of our Online Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that supports a joyful shopping experience for our online customers, ensuring they receive everything they shop for at Sainsbury’s.


Eligibility

  • Must be above the school-leaver age in your country School leaving age - GOV.UK
  • If shifts cover hours before 6am or after 11pm, must be 18+
  • Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Picking and selecting best-quality products ready for online orders, or providing brilliant product substitutes where items are unavailable
  • Using a route-planning handset to efficiently organise tasks and meet completion deadlines
  • Working behind the scenes to:
    • Process customer queries and orders
    • Assist with van loading for Home Delivery Drivers
  • Offering exceptional customer service, answering questions and proactively helping wherever needed
  • Building in-depth knowledge about:
    • Our products
    • Services
    • Promotions to provide informed recommendations
  • Working flexibly across the store as required
