Online Assistant
Online Assistant – Sainsbury’s Stores

As an Online Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our online customers receive the very best from Sainsbury’s—delivering their orders accurately and efficiently.
Eligibility
To apply, you must:
- Be of the school-leaver age or older in your country (check eligibility here). Minimum age of 18 if shifts include hours before 6am or after 11pm.
- Have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll handle a variety of critical tasks, including:
- Picking and packaging orders – Selection of high-quality products for online deliveries, with flexibility to provide excellent substitutions if items are unavailable.
- Efficient route planning – Using handheld devices to navigate the store, optimise your workflow, and complete tasks on time.
- Order processing & customer support – Resolving customer queries, processing returns, and assisting with van loading for Home Delivery Drivers.
- Customer service excellence – Delivering brilliant, proactive engagement, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a joyful shopping experience.
- Flexible store support – Working across different areas as needed, contributing to order accuracy and store tidiness.
