Instore Fulfilment Specialist
About the Role
We are looking for an Instore Fulfilment Specialist to join our team.
This role will be focused on supporting the Instore Fulfilment (ISF) department, delivering an extraordinary customer experience and maintaining high service standards while driving performance against all metrics and KPIs.
The specialist will:
- Successfully allocate tasks and monitor workload
- Role model and promote company values across the team and peers
- Champion and train staff on agreed standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support continuous improvements across key operational departments
- Develop and showcase operational expertise, establishing best practices as a subject matter expert
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfilment Execution:
- Organise and maintain daily service level agreements, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time
- Work closely with digital, shop floor, and ISF associates to uphold SLA targets and meet customer expectations

Technology & Compliance:
- Be proficient in using key systems: RedPrairie, Zetes, Retek, WebSphere, Metapack
- Support development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations
- Ensure strict adherence to quality procedures and targets

Process Optimisation & Growth:
- Support implementation and improvement of workflows to enhance service delivery efficiency
- Oversee workflow management in high-priority areas: High Value Operations, Despatch, Returns, Personalisation

Lean & Problem-Solving:
- Monitor and assist with the maintenance of hardware and equipment
- Continuously identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction

Team Leadership & Safety:
- Foster a collaborative and motivated workforce in line with Selfridges’ values
- Uphold the company’s Health and Safety policy, ensuring a safe working environment
- Be flexible and adaptable to operational demands, including supporting during promotions and peak seasons

Requirements & Experience
- Background in Supply Chain: Preference given to candidates from retail or fast-paced commercial environments
- Industry Experience: Supervisory experience is preferred but not essential
- Commercial Practitioner: Ability to work satisfactorily in a full-time, flexible schedule
- Commitment to early/late shifts including weekends
- Traffic-free attendance: 3 weekends on, 1 weekend off
- Digital Literacy: Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
