About us

At Lyle & Scott, heritage and innovation go hand in hand. For over a century, we’ve built a reputation for craftsmanship, authenticity, and style — and our growing digital presence continues to expand that legacy globally. As marketplaces become a key driver of our direct-to-consumer growth, this role will be central to shaping how we show up across partners such as ASOS, Zalando, About You, and Amazon, ensuring our heritage brand delivers modern performance and commercial success.

The Role

The Online Marketplace Trading Manager will lead the growth and optimisation of Lyle & Scott’s global online marketplace business. This person will own the commercial strategy, performance analysis, and partner relationships across multiple platforms — ensuring brand consistency, profitability, and operational excellence. You’ll indirectly manage the Marketplace Executive and collaborate closely with merchandising, operations, marketing, and product teams to drive visibility, conversion, and revenue. This is a role for a commercially minded team player who understands both the creative and analytical sides of e-commerce and can turn insight into action.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Strategy & Growth

  • Define and deliver the global marketplace strategy aligned with brand and Omnichannel objectives.
  • Identify new marketplace opportunities, oversee onboarding and integration roadmaps with Tradebyte or equivalent.
  • Set commercial targets, pricing architecture, and margin strategies per region and partner.
  • Benchmark against competitors to inform marketplace positioning, content, and trade planning.

Commercial & Trading Performance

  • Own sales, profitability, and KPI reporting across all marketplaces (revenue, AOV, CR, UPT, ROAS).
  • Monitor and optimise performance through weekly trading reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Lead trading calendars, promotions, and exclusive marketplace activations to drive sell-through and visibility.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign alignment, paid marketplace media, and brand shop optimisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
