Location
Online Sales site on Gatehouse Way, Aylesbury
Hours
40 hours (5 days a week). The hours will primarily be worked Monday – Friday, but the role may require some weekend and evening working.
Salary
£27,617.57 per annum

What will I be doing?
To work alongside the Online Sales Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity’s online retail business, ensuring high standards of operational performance, customer service, compliance, and volunteer support across all areas of the online sales operation.
Working collaboratively with the Online Sales Manager, staff, and volunteers, the Online Sales Deputy Manager will support the delivery and continued growth of the charity’s online retail offer across eBay, Vinted, live selling channels, social media, and other online marketplaces. In the absence of the Online Sales Manager, the postholder will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of the online sales operation, ensuring the smooth running of the department, maximising income, and positively promoting the aims and values of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity at all times.

You will have responsibility for:
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Online Sales Manager, staff, and volunteer team to develop and maximise the performance of the charity’s online sales operation across eBay and other online marketplaces. This includes ensuring the effective storage, processing, listing, packing, and dispatch of donated goods.
- Support the Online Sales Manager by leading the day-to-day management of the charity’s eBay shop, ensuring a standard of excellence is maintained at all times with regard to customer service, listing quality, and order fulfilment.
- Ensure donated goods are researched, photographed, and listed to an exceptional standard, using accurate descriptions, high-quality photography, and search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques to maximise visibility, customer engagement, and sales performance.
- Assist in achieving the agreed income targets for sales and Gift Aid.
- Support the recruitment, induction, training, and retention of online sales volunteers, promoting a happy and productive working environment for the volunteers.
About You
- Experience of working as part of a team to achieve sales targets in a retail or online retail environment, with the ability to motivate, support, and provide day-to-day leadership to colleagues and volunteers.
- Strong IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in the use of online sales platforms, AI tools, social media, and online retail software.
- Experience of applying SEO techniques within online selling to optimise listings, improve visibility, and maximise sales performance.
- Demonstrable organisational, customer service, and stock management skills.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
