Job Opportunity: Online Teachers - IAS Economics
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for Online Teachers based in United Kingdom.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced educators who are passionate about delivering high-quality online learning in a personalized, one-on-one environment. In this flexible remote role, you will support motivated secondary students studying IAS Economics through engaging virtual lessons tailored to individual learning needs. You'll have access to comprehensive teaching resources and digital learning tools while helping students achieve strong academic outcomes. Working with learners from around the world, you'll contribute to an innovative educational environment that values excellence, collaboration, and student success. This position is ideal for teachers seeking meaningful part-time work with the flexibility to balance their professional and personal commitments while making a lasting impact on students' educational journeys.
Accountabilities
- Deliver engaging, personalized one-on-one IAS Economics lessons aligned with Cambridge curricula in a fully virtual learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods, instructional strategies, and digital resources to meet each student's individual learning style and academic goals.
- Assess student performance regularly, provide timely and constructive feedback, and adjust lesson plans to maximize learning outcomes.
- Prepare structured course schedules, lesson plans, homework assignments, assessments, and examination materials.
- Facilitate interactive online classes using virtual teaching platforms while maintaining a supportive and professional classroom atmosphere.
- Manage course content, assignments, and assessments within the online learning management system to ensure an organized learning experience.
- Contribute to the development of educational resources that enhance the overall learning experience for current and future students.
- Maintain availability to teach during Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), primarily between 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for scheduled one-hour sessions several times each week.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience at Level/Form 7–13 in a school setting (tutoring experience alone does not satisfy this requirement).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics or a closely related subject.
- Strong knowledge of Cambridge, Edexcel, or A-Level Economics curricula and examination standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
- Experience using online teaching platforms and confidence in delivering engaging virtual instruction.
- Strong organizational, planning, and classroom management skills in an online environment.
- Teaching qualification such as a teaching license, degree in education, or postgraduate teaching certification is preferred.
- Previous online teaching experience is considered an advantage.
- Passion for personalized education and commitment to helping students achieve academic excellence.
