Onsite Trading Assistant - London (or Hybrid)

At M&S, we’re transforming how customers shop online, delivering seamless, engaging and commercially viable digital experiences across every touchpoint. As an Onsite Trading Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the onsite merchandising team to ensure our customers experience a best-in-class journey across web, app, and mobile.

This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role where you’ll help execute trading activity, optimise performance, and bring campaigns to life. If you’re detail-driven, commercially curious, and passionate about online retail, this opportunity is perfect for you to grow your career in digital trading.


What you’ll do

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting day-to-day trading activities across your business unit, ensuring the website delivers the best possible customer experience across all devices
  • Reviewing and maintaining site merchandising, ensuring content remains accurate, engaging, and aligned to commercial priorities
  • Planning and executing key promotional campaigns to support trading and marketing objectives onsite
  • Monitoring and analysing web analytics, producing weekly and fortnightly performance insights to improve customer journey optimisation
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance customer journeys, product visibility, and onsite performance
  • Collaborating with offshore and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, on-time onsite experiences
  • Driving continuous improvement through testing, reporting, and implementing actionable insights

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A passion for online and digital retail, with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex priorities efficiently
  • An analytical mindset, interpreting data to make data-driven recommendations
  • Robust organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams while also working independently
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
