Fancy owning a number that actually moves the needle? At Protein Works, the Online Trading Executive isn't a supporting role, it's the person in the room who can tell you exactly how the site is performing today, why, and what we're doing about it before the day is out.

This is a brilliant first step into ecommerce trading. You'll sit at the heart of our ecommerce team, reporting directly to our Commercial Director, working across the UK, Ireland, France and Germany. What matters most here is a genuine head for numbers and a comfort with data, everything else about the platforms, the promotions and the trading rhythm we'll teach you. If you're the type who naturally spots the pattern in a spreadsheet before anyone points it out, and you like getting to the "why" behind a number, you'll thrive in this role.

This is a genuinely hands-on role for someone who loves the detail as much as the big number, and who wants their work to have visible, immediate impact on a business that's investing seriously in ecommerce, data and AI driven commerce.

About Protein Works

Protein Works is a high-growth DTC nutrition brand with a clear mission: help people live healthier, happier lives through the power of nutrition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Ideal Candidate

  • A genuine strength with numbers and data, you're comfortable pulling apart a spreadsheet or a dashboard to find the story behind it.

  • No prior ecommerce or trading experience needed, we'll train you on the platforms, the promotional mechanics and the trading rhythm.
  • Confident with Excel or Google Sheets, and keen to build your skills in tools like GA4 as you go.
  • Highly organised and detail obsessed, with the drive to execute flawlessly in a fast, reactive environment.
