Teach Online at Cosmo 1:1!
Join Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the premium online learning platform connecting K-12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges for personalized lessons. As a tutor, you’ll enjoy a flexible schedule that you set while teaching ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum.
This role is ideal for experienced educators seeking to engage students in an after-school setting. You’ll hold 50-minute 1-on-1 lessons each week at scheduled times. As a Cosmo 1:1 tutor, your role is to foster a supportive and parPassionate and kind learning environment while empowering students to grow.
This is an independent contractor position. The base rate is $20 USD plus additional incentives and bonuses.
Cosmo Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction tailored to each student
- Update class availability in the Cosmo App promptly
- Prepare age-appropriate and structured lesson materials aligned with the student’s abilities
- Submit Class Feedback after every lesson
- Communicate professionally with parents and students
- Attend classes on time and in a professional setting
- Maintain open communication with Cosmo staff

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of ELA teaching experience in K-12
- Experience with K-12 ELA standards and curriculum
- Experience teaching ESL learners
- Teaching qualification (preferred but not required)
- Reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC (6000+ CPU) or equivalent
- Commitment to at least 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
- Available Monday–Friday, 8 AM–2 PM GMT or weekends 5 AM–2 PM GMT
- 20+ hours of available weekly teaching time
- Access to a private, quiet location for sessions
- Currently located in the UK
