Online Tutor

Join Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the premiere online learning platform that connects K-12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges for personalized lessons.
As a tutor for Cosmo 1:1, you'll:
- Enjoy a flexible and consistent schedule that you set
- Teach ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum
This is the perfect opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after-school setting, meeting for 50-minute, one-on-one lessons each week in a welcoming and fun learning environment. You’ll act as a reliable role model, ensuring you’re well-prepared, on-time, and approachable with a passionate and kind demeanor.
Pay & Incentives
- $20 USD per class, plus additional incentives

- Provide personalized one-on-one instruction for students
- Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
- Prepare relevant lesson materials tailored to the student’s age and ability
- Submit post-lesson feedback
- Maintain professional communication with both parents and students
- Attend all classes on time in a professional setting
- Communicate effectively with Cosmo staff
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of experience teaching K-12 English Language Arts (ELA)
- Familiarity with K-12 ELA standards and curriculum
- Experience teaching ESL learners
- Teaching qualification preferred (but not mandatory)
- Fast and reliable internet connection and access to:
- A Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000+
- A private, quiet classroom location
- Commitment to 6+ months with Cosmo 1:1
- Availability between 8 AM – 2 PM GMT (weekdays) or 5 AM – 2 PM GMT (weekends)
- Minimum of 20 hours/week of teachable availability
- Currently located in the UK
